I've climbed 44 of the 50 passes featured in the book, and it's a good memory of them. Also, seeing myself featured in the Nivolet photo fills me with joy and satisfaction. The memory I have of that day is unforgettable, and having it captured in a book is a great joy and reward. I think it's missing the altimetry and climb profiles to be complete and earn five stars.

The only thing missing was a bit of a profile/map of the climbs themselves - but that's my ‘numbers-visual-planning’ side talking (because the information about length, gradient, heights and altitude is there! ) 😂. A beautifully produced album, from which you can smell the mountains, feel the rays of the scorching sun and gentle gusts of wind. Looking at the fantastic photos and reading about the climbs, one thought comes to mind - riding over these passes on a trainer is not that. You have to go there and see it for yourself. And let the tyres of your bike feel the real ‘there’ asphalt underneath.
It's a nice book to have if you are a pasionate cyclist. You can find inspiration for new climbs or "ride" again while reading the already done ones. I was expecting maybe more interesting details about the climbs, but overall it's a nice book.
Following last years first ride into the French Alpes, I participated in the Stelvio Gran Fondo in 2024. This got me wanting more, and I ran into this book. It's an awesome outline of all great, renowned (and lesser) climbs. It's a great list for me to explore and determine my next goals. The photos are stunning and the facts interesting. Great for displaying at home as well. 5/5

The album is impressive in terms of its very setting and it is nice to browse through the photos, getting into the atmosphere of the climbs and at the same time planning to be there. What is missing in the supplement is a small map with the route of the place of the climb and the course of the altitude from the GPS measurement. I hope that this will be done in the next edition, which I am looking forward to.

I bought a road bike because I was invited to the Alp de'Huez event in 2022. I got so into climbs that this year I'm starting on the Stelvio. This album will allow me to plan my next challenges....I'm already looking for connections to Asturias..., because it's time for the Vuelta route.....
